For over seventeen years, we've been walking alongside Uganda's professionals and organisations — helping them become the best versions of themselves.
At Blue Heron Lane Consulting, our mission is simple but profound: to unlock the extraordinary potential that already exists within Uganda's people and organisations. We believe lasting change starts from within.
We don't deliver cookie-cutter programmes. Every engagement is contextualised — drawn from the realities of operating in Kampala, Gulu, Mbarara, Jinja, and across the regional trade corridors of East Africa.
We hold ourselves to the highest professional and ethical standards in every client relationship.
We believe individual flourishing is inseparable from collective wellbeing.
Good enough is never good enough. We pursue mastery in everything we do.
Our goal is always to make ourselves unnecessary — by building lasting capacity.
Dr. Grace Namukasa established Blue Heron Lane Consulting from a two-room office on Acacia Avenue. The founding vision: bring world-class professional development to Ugandan organisations without losing the African soul.
Awarded a landmark contract with the Ministry of Public Service to develop leadership capacity across 14 government departments — our largest programme to date at the time.
Became the first Ugandan firm to achieve International Coaching Federation (ICF) institutional accreditation for our executive coaching curriculum.
Opened facilitation hubs in Gulu (Northern Uganda) and Mbarara (Western Uganda), deepening our reach into underserved professional communities.
Introduced blended learning programmes combining virtual coaching sessions with in-person retreats — a model refined during COVID-19 that now serves clients across East Africa.
Today we are a team of 22 coaches, facilitators, and consultants. Our alumni network spans every major sector in Uganda and includes Cabinet Ministers, CEOs, and social entrepreneurs.
Our coaches and consultants are practitioners first — people who've led teams, run businesses, and navigated Uganda's economic landscape before stepping into the coaching room.
